Production Blog: Filming Struggles
My group’s filming process was hard. Unfortunately, my main character couldn't take part in my film anymore. She was on lockdown because of what she had going on at home. She had family issues so she couldn’t leave her house. At first I thought it wasn’t that big of a deal. As a result, of this very hard situation, I had to find a replacement. Especially with me being the director, this all fell on me to replace my main character. Even though it’s stressful, it needs to be done. It took some time to find a replacement but when l did, it made things so much better. I also feel like with my new actor, things will run so much smoother. I say this because, now I am more aware of what to expect. Last time I was surprised by all the struggles I went through to film. I now know how to be a better director. I also learned how to get the best shots and manage my time wisely. I want to get started right away so that I can get back on track. I am now off track with my schedule because of the many unexpected delays that came my way. Hopefully, I will be able to get back on track the way I want to. I want to try to get all of the filming done in one day. If not one, then two. Thankfully, some scenes were already filmed.
